Terms of service

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Agreement

By using CampWatch (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

What CampWatch does

CampWatch monitors campground and caravan park booking systems and sends you an SMS when a site matching your preferences appears available. We check availability periodically and alert you as soon as we detect an opening.

No guarantee of availability

An alert means we detected availability at the time of checking. By the time you receive the SMS and visit the booking page, the site may already be taken. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to book a campsite. CampWatch does not make or hold bookings on your behalf.

Independent service

CampWatch is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any national parks service, wildlife service, campground operator, or government body. All bookings are made directly through the relevant official booking system.

Phone number verification

You must verify your phone number via SMS code before creating an alert. You must only use a phone number that you own or are authorised to use. Creating alerts for numbers you don't control is prohibited.

SMS messages and costs

CampWatch sends SMS messages for verification codes, availability alerts, reminders, and expiry notifications. We do not charge for these messages, but standard carrier messaging rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.

Watch expiry

Alerts automatically expire after their check-out date passes. We may also expire watches that have been active for an extended period without a match. You will receive a notification when a watch expires.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with CampWatch beyond normal browser or SMS usage.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service.
  • Create alerts using phone numbers you don't own.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the alert data.

We reserve the right to suspend or block access if we detect misuse.

Service availability

We aim to keep CampWatch running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for missed alerts or downtime.

Limitation of liability

CampWatch is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed bookings or incorrect availability data.

Pricing

Your first three successful saved searches are free. You can buy 5 credits for A$7.99, 10 for A$12.99, or 25 for A$24.99 through Stripe. These are one-off payments, with no subscription, automatic top-up or credit expiry. We are not registered for GST and do not charge GST.

Credits and alerts

One credit unlocks matching availability for one saved search: its campground or park, dates, flexible-start window and weekday/weekend settings. Park searches include their monitored campgrounds. Repeat matches for that combination are included. A credit is used when availability is unlocked, rather than when you book or receive an SMS. A later failed notification does not automatically reverse the unlock. Contact us if you could not access a result.

Everyone can have up to ten active alerts. You need a positive credit balance to create or reactivate an alert. Existing alerts continue at zero. The first accepted out-of-credit availability notice starts seven days; if no credits are added, unfunded alerts then pause. Previously unlocked combinations keep their free repeats. Adding credits resumes alerts that have not expired or been cancelled. Deleting an alert does not refund a used credit or reset its unlock history.

Payments, help and refunds

Your payment confirmation and private history provide payment references and Stripe receipts. For an incorrect charge, inaccessible result or refund request, email [email protected] with your payment reference. Do not send card details. We review payment and credit records before resolving a request; a refund or dispute does not automatically remove credits or relock results.

Availability can disappear before you book. Credits do not reserve a campsite or guarantee a booking. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. See ACCC information about refunds and other remedies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Privacy

Your use of CampWatch is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
