Do you need a 4WD to get to Janes Bay?
Yes. High-clearance 4WD with low-range gears required. The access tracks involve corrugated gravel and soft sand. Do not attempt in a 2WD.
Can you snorkel at Janes Bay?
Not directly from the beach. The reef is further offshore. Paddle out by kayak, or drive north to Cape Range for shore-accessible snorkelling at Turquoise Bay and Oyster Stacks.
Can you take dogs to Janes Bay?
Yes. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. One of the few Ningaloo Coast campgrounds allowing pets.
