Noosa River Holiday Park occupies a rare position: a genuine caravan and camping park directly on the Noosa River, yet close enough to Noosaville dining, beaches and transport that you can leave the car on site. It suits tents, camper trailers, motorhomes and caravans, with powered, unpowered, slab and waterfront choices rather than a single generic site category.
That location is also why bookings are competitive. Before choosing purely on the river view, match the site to your complete setup. The park allocates sites by equipment dimensions, and public camper reports show that the amount of usable room can vary substantially.
Getting there and checking in#
Address: 4 Russell Street, Noosaville QLD 4566
The park sits at Munna Point, between Hastings Street and Gympie Terrace. The official park overview says both precincts can be reached on foot, by bike, car, local bus or ferry. This is a useful base if you want river access without driving into central Noosa for every meal or outing.
Current park rules publish check-in from 12pm to 6pm and check-out by 10am. Contact reception before travelling if you expect to arrive outside that window. One car space is allocated to each site.
Choosing a campsite#
The official overview lists powered and unpowered sites, both slab and non-slab, suitable for tents, caravans, motorhomes and camper trailers. Several waterfront sites are available.
Use these distinctions when booking:
- Powered slab sites suit caravans and motorhomes that benefit from a firm annexe area.
- Powered non-slab sites offer power with a less hard-surfaced setup.
- Unpowered sites suit self-contained or simpler tent setups; waterfront and non-waterfront positions may be offered.
- Waterfront sites provide the setting people come for, but a view does not guarantee extra setup space or privacy.
The current terms cap sites at five people and allow only one tent, caravan or camper trailer per site. Give the park the full exterior length of your equipment, including drawbar, racks, rear extensions and other attachments. Preferred site numbers are requests rather than guarantees.
Facilities and river access#
The park's facilities list includes:
- toilets, hot showers and an accessible toilet
- laundry and charging facilities
- a camp kitchen with barbecues, fridge and microwave
- drinking water
- kiosk and dump point
- direct access for fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and boating
The camp kitchen faces the river, making it more than a purely functional amenity. There is no resort pool advertised; the appeal is the riverfront itself. Conditions on an open waterway can change, so supervise children and make your own assessment before swimming or launching.
Pets, fires and quiet hours#
Pets are not allowed at Noosa River Holiday Park. The park rules also prohibit generators and open fires, so plan to cook with the supplied facilities or permitted equipment rather than relying on a campfire.
The published quiet-time curfew is 10pm. The park can be busy during school holidays, and compact waterfront camping means considerate lighting, music and vehicle movements matter.
What campers say#
Recent Tripadvisor reviews, CamperMate reports and reviews reproduced on the official park page point to several practical patterns:
- The river setting and sunset views are the standout reasons people return; the camp kitchen is repeatedly singled out as a particularly good place to enjoy them.
- Clean, well-maintained amenities are a strong recurring theme, including in reviews from July and August 2026.
- Walkability is a genuine advantage. Campers value reaching river activities, meals and central Noosa without moving a large vehicle.
- Site space is more mixed. Some campers describe generous grass, while a March 2026 report found neighbouring large rigs and boats made an already compact area feel crowded. Accurate setup dimensions and a conversation with reception matter.
- Wi-Fi experiences are inconsistent. A July 2026 reviewer could not use it for a smart TV, and a March report described it as effectively unavailable. Do not rely on park Wi-Fi for work or streaming.
These are traveller-reported experiences, not guarantees about your allocated site, amenity condition or connection quality.
Booking and cancellations#
Book through the official booking portal. Online bookings are paid in full and can be made up to 12 months ahead. The standard maximum stay is 42 days, with any extension subject to management approval.
As checked on 31 August 2026, the cancellation policy requires at least 28 days' notice for a refund. All cancellations incur a $32 administration fee. Inside 28 days, a refund or credit needs Noosa Council approval and is not guaranteed. Recheck the live rules before paying.
