Yes. Dingoes roam through the campground and along the beaches. Supervise children at all times, including trips to the amenities block. Secure all food and rubbish in sealed containers, and never approach or feed dingoes.

Can I take a caravan to Point Plomer campground?

Yes, if you access the campground from the north via Crescent Head. The road from the south is 4WD only and not suitable for towing caravans. The final 5 km of the northern approach is gravel, but generally in good condition for 2WD vehicles and vans.

What is there to do at Point Plomer?

Point Plomer offers world-class surfing, sheltered swimming at Barries Bay, shore and rock fishing, whale watching (May to October), birdwatching for ospreys and sea eagles, coastal headland walks, and the Big Hill Rainforest walking track nearby. It's also a popular spot for ocean kayaking.
